Whelen Engineering Racing delivered a strong performance in a record-breaking race as the team took a second place finish in the Rolex 24 At Daytona on Sunday. The race result marked a strong start to the 2018 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for the 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship-winning squad as full-season Whelen Engineering pilots Felipe Nasr and Curran were joined by Mike Conway and Sunoco Whelen Challenge winner Stuart Middleton in the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac DPi-V.R,

ANALYSIS
The No. 31 Cadillac was a fixture at the front of the field for the 24-hour classic. Curran and his co-pilots led 66 total laps and were really the main challenger to their sister team, the No. 5 Action Express Cadillac. Curran and Nasr will now set their sights on March's Twelve Hours of Sebring and notching their first victory of the season.
