Goeters, who will compete this weekend in the Telcel-Motorola 200 with Brewco Motorsports, said Tuesday that he will drive the rest of the season with Jay Robinson Racing, scenedaily.com reports. Goeters will bring some sponsorship with him from Xtreme Gel, but the team is looking for additional sponsorship.

Goeters is set to drive the No. 66 Scotiabank Xtreme Gel Ford Fusion for Brewco Motorsports in the Telcel-Motorola 200 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on March 5, jayski.com reports. Goeters returns to Brewco Motorsports and the Mexico City event for the second year after capturing the pole for the 2005 race.

The introduction of Latin American Racing to the Hispanic market hit the ground running with positive reviews this past Friday evening. Goeters, driver, along with Adal Ramones, part owner, have teamed up to compete in the 2006 NASCAR Busch Series season. Latin American Racing has aligned themselves with Akins Motorsports for technical support and affiliation with the #38 Great Clips Dodge, bgnracing.com reports.

The creation of Latin American Racing, the new Busch team created by Goeters and Adal Ramones, was announced Saturday in Mexico, sporcar.com reports. “We do not have sponsorship yet, and the business does not necessarily have to be Mexican or Latin American. It can be American, European or Asian. We are going to study all the options that are before us and decide which can contribute the most to Latin Americans with this project,” announced Goeters.

Mexico City pole winner Goeters and his older brother Eduardo will run a partial Busch Series schedule next season with a new team owned by Mexican tv host and comedian Adal Ramones. The team will field Dodges and be based in Mooresville, NC. An official announcement is supposed to take place this weekend in Mexico City, bgnracing.com reports.
