Heads to Stony Brook
Benson committed Monday to join FCS Stony Brook as a transfer, Channel 6 News Temple reports.
ANALYSIS
Benson entered the transfer portal in February after spending his first three seasons of college at SMU. He recorded one reception for a 72-yard touchdown in nine games during his time with the Mustangs and used a redshirt for the first of the three campaigns. The wideout will thus retain two years of eligibility as he heads to Stony Brook, where he'll be able to compete immediately.
