Brewster announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that he will leave UMass and enter the transfer portal April 15.
ANALYSIS
Earlier this month, Brewster announced plans to walk away from football, with his decision coming after UMass added two other quarterbacks (Taisun Phommachanh and Carlos Davis) through the transfer portal over the offseason. After reassessing his future, however, Brewster will now look to continue his career elsewhere with up to four years of eligibility at his disposal. He didn't see any action for the Minutemen as a true freshman in 2022 and took a redshirt.
