James Bostic

Bostic was an afterthought in 2021 for the Bobcats, logging just five catches for 34 yards. Despite appearing in every game, quarterbacks Kurtis Rourke and Armani Rodgers just didn’t look his way, as he never topped three targets. Bostic also entered the transfer portal in late December looking for more opportunities, but likely hasn’t drawn much interest. It’s also unlikely he’ll transfer on the verge of fall practice, especially with the NCAA’s new transfer window rules. Now, however, Bostic looks primed for a much bigger role, as the Bobcats lose much of their returning receiver production, including Cameron Odom, Isaih Cox, Miles Cross and Jerome Buckner. If Bostic does stick around in Athens, he’ll see more opportunities at the very least, even if the Bobcats’ quarterback play remains suspect.
