Torres underwent surgery Tuesday for appendicitis, Barcelona announced.

Torres underwent surgery for appendicitis and is out for Thursday's trip to Espanyol. The midfielder could be done for the season with less than a month left to play. If this is the end of his campaign he will finish with 10 goals and six assists in La Liga action.
