Quinn Priester Injury: Battles blister in no-decision
Priester didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Pirates after striking out seven while allowing one run on six hits and one walk over six innings.
Priester gave up a run in the first inning but settled in and worked around traffic to throw five scoreless frames afterward. Though the right-hander tossed just 84 pitches over six innings, manager Pat Murphy disclosed after the game that he elected to go to the bullpen early because Priester was dealing with a blister on his pitching hand, per Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. Priester will likely receive treatment for the injury over the next couple of days, but if he's able to throw a bullpen session early next week without issue, he should be ready to pitch the next time his turn in the rotation comes up.
