Howe was, somewhat surprisingly, receiving the majority of QB3 reps during Wisconsin's spring practice period. However, he was still buried on the depth chart with no clear path to playing time behind Tanner Mordecai and Braedyn Locke, not to mention the talented Nick Evers waiting in the wings. Howe should have a legitimate shot to compete for a starting role at in New Haven.
