Jordan Lawlar News: Promotion imminent
The Diamondbacks are expected to recall Lawlar from Triple-A Reno ahead of Monday's series opener in San Francisco, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
Lawlar is hitting .336/.418/.579 at Reno while splitting time between second base, shortstop and third base. The Diamondbacks have solid incumbents at all three positions, including two (Ketel Marte and Geraldo Perdomo) that recently signed contract extensions. Piecoro speculates that Lawlar -- the Diamondbacks' top prospect -- will likely play around four times per week, allowing manager Torey Lovullo to give multiple other regulars on the team periodic days off.
