Freddy Peralta News: Cleared to start Monday
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Friday that Peralta (groin) has been cleared to start Monday's series opener versus the Guardians in Cleveland, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Peralta tweaked his groin during his most recent start against the Cubs last Sunday, but he appears to have avoided a serious injury. He was able to throw a bullpen session Friday without issue, putting the 28-year-old right-hander on track to return to the rotation on seven days' rest. Through eight starts this season, Peralta has gone 4-2 with a 2.18 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 48:15 K:BB across 45.1 innings.
