Atlanta signed Thompson to a minor-league deal Thursday, Lindsay Crosby of AthlonSports.com reports.

Thompson elected free agency Wednesday after clearing waivers upon being designated from assignment by Atlanta on Monday. The righty has logged two big-league appearances in 2025, throwing 3.2 scoreless and hitless innings.
