2025 Fantasy Outlook
Sasser showed flashes of potential in his sophomore season with the Pistons, averaging 6.6 points, 2.3 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 14.2 minutes per game across 57 appearances. He showcased good efficiency, shooting 46.3 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from three, with an 84.3 percent free-throw percentage. However, his role was limited, and his fit within the team's rotation remains uncertain. The Pistons have left the door wide open for Sasser to claim the backup point guard role, though, as the departure of Dennis Schroder swung the door wide open. His development as a playmaker and ability to contribute off the ball will be crucial in determining his fantasy value this season. If he doesn't perform, the Pistons could simply give more responsibility to Caris LeVert. As things currently stand, it's hard to justify using a pick on Sasser in most formats as long as Jaden Ivey and Cade Cunningham are healthy. Read Past Outlooks
Not expected to go Friday
Sasser (hip) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Sasser appears on track to miss the first two matchups of the 2025-26 campaign while dealing with a right hip impingement. Ronald Holland and Duncan Robinson should continue to see a slight uptick in opportunities until Sasser is cleared to return.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could see bigger role in short term
Sasser is among the players who could earn an uptick in playing time due to the leg injury of Jaden Ivey, Omari Sankofa II of The Detroit Free Press speculates.
ANALYSIS
Ivey's lower leg injury could keep him sidelined until March in a best-case scenario, so the Pistons will have plenty of time to adjust their lineups and rotations. Sasser could be an option to see more time in the backcourt, though Wendell Moore, Malik Beasley and Ausar Thompson are other options who could experience an uptick in minutes in the coming weeks.
