Hmiel will climb back behind the wheel of a race car for the first time since his injury on Saturday, Jan. 26 when Accessible Racing visits the legendary Rockingham Speedway,

Hmiel hasn't raced since receiving head, neck and back injuries in a USAC crash in 2010 that left him paralyzed. He not only defied death, but he has regained some use of his extremities over the last couple years. Hmiel will get the opportunity to climb back into the driver's seat at Rockingham Speedway with Accessible Racing. The organization uses modified race cars that are accessible to the physically challenged.
