Long Struggle in Mexico GP
Colapinto finished 20th in the Mexico City Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Sunday afternoon.
ANALYSIS
A poor qualifying effort would put the Alpine youngster 20th on the starting grid. Colapinto would be one of only two drivers to start the race on hard compound tyres. He would run the longest of the single-stop drivers to lap 48 for his lone pit stop. Colapinto could only manage P16 prior to his stop and would be mired at the back-end of the still running drivers. A late retirement by Carlos Sainz would promote Colapinto to P16 at the finish. The young driver will look for better results in Brazil.
