Timberwolves Visit Pistons Looking To Extend Streak
The Detroit Pistons will host the Minnesota Timberwolves at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday.

The Pistons (11-33) are coming off another disappointing performance, as they suffered a 147-116 road loss against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday. Seven Pistons scored in double digits in this loss. Saddiq Bey and Jaden Ivey led the way among the starters with 17 points each, with Bey also adding four rebounds and Ivey dishing out four assists. Kevin Knox II posted 13 points, and Rodney McGruder also had a team-high 17 points despite coming off the bench. Hamidou Diallo had 14 points and eight boards, and Alec Burks posted 16 points. Cory Joseph finished with 10 points and eight dimes. The Pistons have lost three games in a row.

The Pistons are listing Isaiah Livers (shoulder) and Buddy Boeheim (toe) as game-time calls, while Isaiah Stewart (shoulder), Jalen Duren (ankle), Bojan Bogdanovic (calf) and Marvin Bagley (hand) are out, same as Cade Cunningham (lower leg) who’s out for the season.

The Timberwolves (20-21) have been struggling most of the season, but they’re coming off a 104-96 road win over the Houston Rockets on Sunday, so they will have another shot at making a statement against another rebuilding franchise. During that win, D'Angelo Russell led the Timberwolves with 22 points, three rebounds and six assists, in 33 minutes. Anthony Edwards followed up with 21 points, four rebounds, three assists two blocks and a steal. while Rudy Gobert totaled 18 points, 11 rebounds and a block. The Timberwolves shot 47.5 percent from the field, including 10-of-28 from long range. The Timberwolves have won four games in a row and are trending in the right direction.

Anthony Edwards (hip) has been listed as a game-time call for Wednesday, while Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordan McLaughlin have been ruled out due to calf injuries.
