Celtics Hold Off Hawks For Second Straight Win
The Boston Celtics defeated the host Atlanta Hawks, 134-125, at State Farm Arena on Saturday evening.

The game got out to a high-scoring start as the Hawks led, 38-37, after one quarter. The Celtics turned up the defense in the second and rallied ahead to a 10-point advantage by halftime. Both sides brought a solid effort in the third, but the visitors stayed in control and carried a 12-point lead into the final quarter. The Hawks cut it to a five-point game early in the fourth, but the Celtics solidified their ground and closed out their second straight win.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 34 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and a block, in 35 minutes. Jaylen Brown followed up with 24 points, five rebounds, seven assists and two steals, while Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon added 18 points each. The Celtics shot 54.7 percent from the field, including 20-of-42 from deep.

Meanwhile, Trae Young led the Hawks with 35 points, three rebounds and 13 assists, in 34 minutes. Saddiq Bey followed up with 17 points, five rebounds and a steal, while De'Andre Hunter tallied 16 points, three rebounds, two assists and a block. The Hawks shot 50 percent from the field, including 10-of-34 from long range.

The Hawks (34-34) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Timberwolves on Monday. The Celtics (47-21) take on the Rockets in Houston on Monday.
