Celtics Cruise To Victory Over Heat In Game 3
The Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat, 104-84, at Kaseya Center on Saturday in Game 3 of the first round in the Eastern Conference playoffs. The Celtics now lead the series 2-1.

The Celtics played Game 3 of the series with a sense of urgency, and it showed, as they played with intensity and quickly established their terms against a Heat team that struggled to get things going on offense. A 21-12 lead after the first quarter gave Boston an early advantage, and a 42-27 second quarter essentially put the game out of Miami’s reach by halftime. The Celtics slowed things down a bit in the third quarter, though Miami also played better, but the game was essentially over as a fighting expression. The Heat won the second half by a four-point margin. However, that was not enough to mount a comeback, and the Celtics cruised to an easy victory. The Celtics now hold a 2-1 lead in the series. Game 4 is scheduled for Monday in Miami.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown led the way for the Celtics since both scored 22 points. Tatum also added 11 rebounds and six assists, while Brown chipped in with eight rebounds, three assists and two steals. Kristaps Porzingis notched 18 points, five rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Derrick White had 16 points, five rebounds and three assists. The Celtics shot 47.6 percent from the field and 29.7 percent from three-point range.

Bam Adebayo had 20 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Tyler Herro had 15 points, two rebounds and two assists. Jaime Jaquez Jr. posted 12 points, five rebounds and five assists. Nikola Jovic contributed 15 points and eight rebounds. The Heat shot 41.6 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from three-point range.
