The Tigers placed Jobe on the 15-day injured list Friday with a Grade 1 right flexor strain, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Sawyer Gipson-Long (elbow/hip), who is coming off a dominant rehab start for Triple-A Toledo, will likely be activated from the 60-day IL next week to replace Jobe in the rotation. Jobe delivered a 5.28 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 25:17 K:BB in 29 innings over his last six starts. The Tigers don't have a timeline for Jobe's return at the moment, but he's expected to be shut down from throwing for at least a couple weeks before getting re-evaluated.
