Antonio Cordero News: Joins Newcastle as free agent

Cordero is joining Newcastle United as a free agent, the club announced. "Antonio is an exciting talent. We're delighted to bring him to Newcastle United amidst interest in Spain and across Europe. He has lots of potential, and the next phase of his development will be for the club to select a loan move that will challenge him and build on his experiences," said Paul Mitchell, Newcastle United sporting director.

Cordero has joined Newcastle United from Malaga, pending Premier League and FA registration and a UK visa. The 18-year-old has made 60 senior appearances with seven goals and nine assists for Malaga. He is expected to go out on loan this summer to continue his development. Cordero scored his first senior goal in June 2024 with a last-minute equaliser that secured promotion to the Segunda Division.
