He was a solid presence in an otherwise chaotic season, keeping three clean sheets in both the Premier League and Europa League. Although he did not participate in the Europa League Final, that marked his first trophy with Spurs in his 10th season with the club. His contract expires this summer, and there is a legitimate chance that he has played his last match with Spurs given his age and his place on the depth chart. If he returns for next season, he will likely be the fourth choice center back at best.
