Djed Spence News: Solid as backup full back
Spence scored one goal and provided two assists across 25 appearances (19 starts) in the Premier League.
Spence had a solid season for Spurs, one where he saw a decent amount of playing time due to loads of injuries on the backline. He appeared in four of the first 15 matches of the season (all off the bench), but then joined the starting XI in December and started 19 of the final 23 matches of the season, switching between right back and left back. He scored one goal, provided two assists and kept two clean sheets across those 25 appearances. Despite joining Spurs three years ago, this was his first full season with the club and he proved to fit in. After a campaign where first choice left back Destiny Udogie struggled, Spence could keep the momentum going and feature regularly next season.
