Pape Sarr News: Important in Spurs' midfield

Sarr scored three goals and provided two assists across 36 appearances (22 starts) in the Premier League.

Sarr had another solid campaign for Spurs, one where he nearly exactly matched his totals in goals, assists, shots, shots on target and chances created from the 2023/24 campaign. He started 22 matches in midfield and made 36 appearances, establishing himself as an important part of that unit especially given so many of his teammates missed time with injuries. His place as a regular starter is not guaranteed for next season if everyone is healthy though. Lucas Bergvall showed a lot of promise in his first season, and Archie Gray was forced to play out of position in defense most of the season due to a plethora of injuries on the backline. Those two, along with Sarr, Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma, will battle for two starting slots next season.
