Jake Meyers Injury: Hits IL with calf strain
The Astros placed Meyers on the 10-day injured list Friday due to a right calf strain, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Meyers missed two straight games earlier this week due to right calf tightness and aggravated the injury during Wednesday's 4-2 loss to Cleveland. Further testing revealed the center fielder is dealing with a strain, which will result in a stint on the injured list. While Meyers is out, the Astros will likely turn to Taylor Trammell and Kenedy Corona to serve as their primary options in center field.
