Iwase has re-signed with the Chunichi Dragons for a one-year, 370 million yen contract, the Kyodo news service reports.
ANALYSIS
The 38-year-old went 2-3 with 36 saves and a 1.86 ERA for the Dragons last season. He's the all-time leader in saves, with 382, in NPB. It looks unlikely he'll ever play in MLB.
