Spencer agreed to a two-year, $4.5 million contract with the Grizzlies on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

A second-round pick out of UConn last June, Spencer served as a two-way player for the Grizzlies during his rookie campaign. He thrived as a primary scoring option with the G League's Memphis Hustle but took on more of a supporting role in his 25 appearances at the NBA level with the Grizzlies, averaging 4.2 points, 1.4 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per contest while making 35.8 percent of his treys. Though the Grizzlies had the option of retaining him on another two-way deal, he'll be upgraded to the 15-man roster on a two-year deal that's fully guaranteed. Memphis has ample depth on hand in its backcourt, so despite the new contract, Spencer could still be on the outside looking in for a rotation spot to begin the 2025-26 season.
