He's currently a free agent, but the Bobcats hope to have him locked up for next season in a week or so. Anderson won't play too much, but his ability to play either guard slot will help a team that has depth at forward but is a little thin in the backcourt.
Anderson can score and hit some threes, but he won't do much else, and he won't shoot a high percentage from the floor. He's essentially another David Wesley, but it's likely he'll see 25-plus minutes at both guard positions early in the season.
Anderson is emerging as a team leader and will start at shooting guard. He missed some last season with a back injury, but averaged 35.5 minutes per game once healthy. He will be the No. 2 scoring option behind Randolph and shouldn’t disappoint if all you need is a scorer at guard.
Anderson suffered a knee injury in April that required surgery. He should be okay for training camp. He’s a streaky offensive player who improved his numbers form a subpar 2001-02 season. You can expect 13-15 points per game with a handful of assists as Portland’s starting shooting guard.
