DerMarr Johnson

This season looks to be an even greater challenge for Johnson to garner time as starter Voshon Lenard returns healthy and rookie Julius Hodge enters the fold. Johnson will most likely compete directly with Hodge and Greg Buckner for the back-up role but considering how the SG position was filled last year it’s doubtful that one guy will come out head and shoulders above the rest. If it’s back-up by committee then Johnson becomes a serious non-factor in fantasy leagues. If he wins the back-up job all to himself then he could average 20 minutes a night with averages of 7-10 points, 2-4 rebounds, 2-3 assists, and a steal or two. A full time back-up job would almost assure that he’ll pour in 65-85 3’s next year as well. Not great numbers but definitely a guy worth keeping an eye on if he's the #2 SG and Lenard goes down again.

Johnson will try to land a role as a backup swingman.
