Cut loose by G League team
The G League's Canton Charge waived Allen on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Allen was expected to compete for the Charge during the upcoming week at the G League's bubble in Orlando, but he suffered an injury that prompted the team to cut ties. After the Knicks waived him from his two-way deal in the summer, Allen briefly played for a club in France earlier this season before he elected to return to North America when the G League offer was presented to him.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2019
2017
Kadeem Allen continues to be a star in the G League, but his time in the NBA has remained limited. Allen averaged 15.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.3 assists across 31.8 minutes per game with the Westchester Knicks last season and parlayed that into making 19 appearances with New York. He was solid in his time with the NBA Knicks, averaging 9.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists across 22 minutes per game. Unfortunately for Allen, the Knicks bolstered their depth in the backcourt, and he may end up seeing even less playing time this season, especially since New York is expected to at least try and be competitive this season. With the additions of R.J. Barrett and Elfrid Payton to go along with Frank Ntilikina's breakout summer with the France national team, Allen will likely once again see majority of his floor time in the G League.
