CJ Elleby

Charles James Elleby was born in June of 2000 to parents Bill and Elizabeth Elleby. Elleby's father Bill played ball for the University of California and now runs a collegiate scouting business called Seattle Basketball Services. Elleby also has four siblings: Kobe, Billy, Chance and Victoria. The 6-foot-6 wing was a four-time letter winner at Cleveland High School in Seattle, where he averaged 23.5 points per game as a senior (2016-17) and was named First Team All-State by the Associated Press. Elleby ultimately chose to attend college at Washington State University from 2018 to 2020. While at WSU, he majored in sociology. Fans can follow the shooting guard on Twitter @EllebyCj. As a true freshman at Washington State, Elleby was an instant-impact player, posting 14.7 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. He hit better than 41 percent of his three-point attempts and was selected to the Pac 12 All-Freshman team. Elleby notched a season-high 26 points against Washington. A preseason First Team All-Pac 12 selection, Elleby lived up to the hype, finishing with averages of 18.4 points and 7.8 rebounds, while shooting 34 percent from three and 82 percent at the line. Elleby scored a then-career-high 27 points in a win over Arizona State, only to top it with 34 points (and 10 rebounds) in a win over Washington later in the season. Elleby eclipsed 1,000 career points against Washington, becoming the third-fastest player in program history to reach that benchmark. At season's end, Elleby was named to the All-Pac 12 First Team, and he entered his name in the 2020 NBA Draft.
