Shayne Whittington

The undrafted rookie out of Western Michigan saw limited action last year. Whittington averaged 2.9 points, 0.3 assists, 1.5 rebounds, 0.3 steals, and 0.1 blocks in five minutes per game for 20 regular season games in 2014-15. He entered the summer as an unrestricted free agent but started for the Pacers' Orlando Summer League team, averaging 12.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 0.5 steals in 27 minutes per game over two games. The summer effort earned him a one-year guaranteed contract from the frontcourt-thin Pacers. The 6-11 Whittington hopes he can earn minutes at both the power forward and center positions, where admittedly the competition is modest. Expect a slight uptick in the five minutes per game that Whittington averaged last year. That may or may not be enough floor time for Whittington to prove he can be a regular contributor in the Association.
