Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary

Sneed was born Dec. 21, 1997 in St. Louis, Missouri. He is the son of Anthonie and Erica Sneed. His younger sister is Ania. He attended Hazelwood Central High School in Florissant, Missouri. During his final three seasons, the team posted a 70-18 record. He was a Top 160 prospect by most recruiting services. He committed to Kansas State over Illinois and Xavier. Sneed was a four-year player in college. He became a full-time starter during his sophomore year. He was named to the All-Big 12 Honorable Mention team during both of his final two seasons (2019, 2020). As a junior, he averaged 10.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.4 steals in 30.7 minutes. As a senior, he averaged 14.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.8 steals in 32.6 minutes. He went unselected in the 2020 NBA Draft and signed his first contract later that month with the Hornets.

ANALYSIS
Sneed played just four games for the Hornets in 2022-23 after joining the team on a 10-day deal in late March before he was converted to a two-year, two-way contract in the final week of the regular season. The 25-year-old forward was expected to see most of his playing time with the Hornets' G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm, during the upcoming campaign, but he'll now look to catch on elsewhere ahead of training camp. The Hornets now have their third and final two-way slot available for Theo Maledon, whose status is in limbo as a restricted free agent after he played under a two-way deal for Charlotte in 2022-23.

ANALYSIS
Sneed started 32 games for Charlotte's G League affiliate last season, averaging 12.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists. His inefficiency was eye-catching then, as Sneed shot just 39.3 percent from the field and 31.7 percent from beyond the arc. However, Summer League was worse, as Sneed shot just 4-for-20 overall, including 2-for-12 from deep. He remains on a two-way contract with Charlotte for the upcoming season.
