Stevens closed with a seven-under 64 in the final round of THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson to finish in solo third place.
ANALYSISStevens might have finished third, but he was three back of
Erik van Rooyen in second and 11 back from
Scottie Scheffler who won. He shot at least six-under in every round besides a one-under 70 on Saturday when he lost some ground. Stevens had an excellent putting week gaining nearly 8.4 strokes on the greens, good enough for third-best in the field. This was the second top-10 of the season for Stevens to go along with his runner-up at the Farmers Insurance Open. He did enough to make the Truist Championship next week via the Aon Swing 5.
