Inks minors deal with San Francisco
Barnes signed a minor-league contract with the Giants on Friday.

The Dodgers released Barnes last month after he slashed .214/.233/.286 with three extra-base hits, two RBI and four runs scored across 44 plate appearances. Barnes will report to the Giants' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate but will eventually move up to Triple-A Sacramento to serve as organizational depth behind Patrick Bailey and Andrew Knizner.
