Exploring exit from Wichita State
Busse entered the transfer portal March 13 and is expected to move on from Wichita State, Kendra Douglas of KSN News 3 Wichita reports.
ANALYSIS
Of the seven Shockers players who have entered the transfer portal since the end of the season, Busse was one of the first to do so, though his addition to the portal flew a bit under the radar since he was a walk-on player for Wichita State. Busse, who appeared in seven games as a true freshman, will presumably explore his options at a smaller Division I school, where he could more realistically have a shot at being placed on scholarship. If he does join another DI school as a scholarship player, Busse would have to sit out the 2020-21 season unless the NCAA passes a new rule affording first-time transfers immediate eligibility.
