Opts out of 2020 season
August 7, 2020
Alexander opted out of the 2020 season Friday, Ryan Black of The Manhattan Mercury reports.
The Wildcats had 29 players test positive for COVID-19 in mid-July, and Alexander revealed on his personal Twitter page that he was one of those cases. Amid concerns regarding the ongoing pandemic, Alexander will forego his senior season. The defensive back played 11 games in 2019, recording 25 tackles, one sack, two pass deflections and one touchdown during that time. It's unclear whether Alexander will pursue a career in the NFL.
