Johnson will move on from Cal after failing to attempt a pass over three seasons with the team. The 190-pound signal-caller will now have three remaining seasons of eligibility as a grad transfer. Johnson marks the third Golden Bears quarterback to enter the portal since the conclusion of the 2022 campaign, leaving redshirt sophomore transfer Sam Jackson as the only passer currently left on the roster heading into next season.
