Past Fantasy Outlooks
2004
2003
Cleeland is coming off another disappointing injury-riddled season. Sound familiar? Cleeland made just 10 receptions for 145 yards last year as a Ram. Perhaps a more healthy season with the added continuity of playing in the same offense can help Clee get back to being a fantasy factor. Don't count on it. Cleeland should remain in your league's free-agent pool until he can prove he's relevant in the real and fantasy football worlds.
Cleeland's talents look like a perfect fit to the St. Louis scheme - he's a versatile receiver who can get deep and block - but good luck trying to get a full year out of this guy. If you add up essentially his last NFL "season" - three different years meshed into one - you get 55 catches and six touchdowns, which is roughly what he could do in St. Louis if he plays even 12 to 14 games. Still, the injury history here is very difficult to ignore.
