2025 Fantasy Outlook
Kucherov put forth another elite season, providing 37 goals and 121 points across 78 regular-season outings. It's his third consecutive campaign of at least 110 points and the third time in his career that he's breached the 120-point mark. To put that in perspective: No player other than Connor McDavid matches him in terms of 120-plus point campaigns during the salary-cap era (2005-06 to present). Kucherov is starting to get up there in terms of age at 32, but that's not old enough for it to be a concern -- especially after back-to-back Art Trophy wins -- and he spends a great chunk of his time in an ideal situation alongside other high-end forwards like Brayden Point and Jake Guentzel. Put simply, Kucherov should be a lock as a top-five selection in single-season fantasy drafts, and the only forwards you could make an argument to take ahead of him would be McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Nathan MacKinnon. Nets game-winner in OT
Kucherov scored the game-winning goal and fired two shots on target in Sunday's 2-1 overtime win against the Golden Knights.
ANALYSIS
Kucherov played the hero for Tampa Bay as he tallied his first game-winning goal of the season. Overall, the 32-year-old right winger has three goals, eight points and 19 shots on net in seven appearances this season. Sunday's game-winner tied the bow on a historic weekend for Kucherov, who became the second player in Lightning history to reach 1,000 career points. The reigning Art Ross Trophy winner has been a shoo-in for 110 points each of the last three seasons, and Kucherov's current four-game point streak suggests he isn't slowing down offensively.

The 2023-24 season was a career year for Kucherov, who led the NHL in both overall points with 144 and power-play points with 53. The smooth-skating 30-year-old set personal bests in nearly every statistical category this past year including goals (44), assists (100), points (144) and shots (306) while also averaging a personal best 21:40 of ice time. There is little sign of the hard-shooting winger slowing down at any point, so fantasy managers should be expecting him to be a top-five pick in nearly all formats, even if he leaves something to be desired defensively from time-to-time. Don't be surprised to see Kucherov near the top of the scoring charts all season long and competing for the Art Ross Trophy - though the playmaker probably shouldn't be expected to hang with the top goalscorers in the league for the Rocket Richard.
