Dan Miller: Not Competitive In Loss To Trevor Smith Sunday
MiddleweightUFC
July 12, 2015
Miller lost to Trevor Smith via unanimous decision (25-30, 25-30, 26-30) at The Ultimate Fighter Finale: American Top Team v. Blackzilians on Sunday in Las Vegas
ANALYSIS Due to a variety of neck issues, this was Miller's first appearance in the UFC since March 16, 2013. It wasn't a very good return. Miller appeared exhausted almost immediately and he couldn't get off his back for the final 10 minutes of the fight. Getting dominated by a mediocre fighter like Smith is not a good sign for Miller. He worked so hard to get back that is seems unlikely that he will hang up his boots, but he should probably at least consider the possibility after this performance.
Conor McGregor helped make the sport of MMA explode this decade, but does he get a spot in Jon Litterine's countdown of the top-10 UFC fights of the last 10 years?
