Elizabeth Phillips

Falls to 1-3 in UFC career after loss Saturday
BantamweightUFC
August 20, 2016
Phillips lost to Raquel Pennington via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC 202 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Phillips kept it close for two rounds before fading in Round 3. She really struggled with the strength of Pennington in a fight that was primarily fought in close quarters. Although she had more than six minutes worth of control time, Phillips ended up landing just 34 significant strikes. Phillips is tough and gritty, but that's about it. With a 1-3 record in the UFC, her time with the company is on life support.

Elizabeth Phillips: Gets Unanimous Decision Win Over Jessamyn Duke
BantamweightUFC
July 25, 2015
Phillips defeated Jessamyn Duke via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC on FOX 16 on Saturday in Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Phillips was firmly in control for the first two rounds. She battered Duke on the feet and she was able to control the exchanges on the mat. Yet in Round 3, Phillips gassed out so bad that she's lucky she was able to survive. She won a clear decision, but the poor finish will definitely take away from what was an otherwise solid performance. However, Duke isn't any good so it isn't saying all that much that Phillips could take a decision from her. After two split decision losses, it was the first win in the UFC for Phillips.
