Holden defeated Shakir McKillip via TKO (punches) at 4:39 of Round 2 at Bellator 184 on Friday in Thackerville, Okla.
ANALYSIS
Both of these fighters were game and aggressive, but they both could probably clean up their technique a bit. Holden and McKillip came out throwing and recklessly going for submissions on the ground. Holden seemed to have a better gas tank. He came out much fresher in the second round. He scored another takedown, but this time, he was able to dominate on the ground and take the back. McKillip lost his explosiveness and struggled to remain in the fight. Towards the end of the round, Holden turned it on with punches from the back. The referee had to stop the fight. He improved to 2-0 in Bellator and 6-2 overall.
