CarBahn with Peregrine Racing will make the switch from Audi to Lamborghini machinery as part of its step up to full-season IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition next year. The California-based team has announced that Robert Megennis will join Westphal at the wheel of the No. 39 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo for the entire WeatherTech Championship schedule, sportscar365.com reports.

ANALYSIS
The team made it's debut last season in just the Sprint Cup races of GT Daytona. CarBahn will step up to full-season participation in the upcoming campaign with veterans Westphal and Megennis behind the wheel. "It's exciting to be entering the full 2022 WeatherTech Championship with Lamborghini as our partner," said team owner Mark Siegel. "The Huracan is the sister car to what we ran in the Sprint Cup last season, so our development work from 2021 should carry over and give us an extremely competitive entry."
