Sharp had the fastest time in last weekend's practice sessions for the Indianapolis 500. "It's great to be the fastest one day; you want to be fastest often," he told the Indianapolis Star. "This won't mean much later in the week."

Sharp won a crash-filled Indy Japan 300 on Sunday, finishing the final lap under a yellow flag.
