The 40-year old veteran keeper announced his retirement on Tuesday, effective immediately. This announcement comes after he suffered a shoulder injury in a loss to Portsmouth this past Saturday.
ANALYSIS
While the injury wasn't considered to be career-threatening, it was probably the deciding factor in Seaman's most recent decision. The English game will definitely miss Seaman's efforts, who will remember him as one of the all-time greats in the net for both club and country.
