Tom Hawkins
Busy in win
FGeelong Cats
May 29, 2021
Hawkins scored three goals and two behinds to go with 21 disposals (14 kicks, seven handballs) in addition to making seven marks during Saturday's 61-51 win over Collingwood.
Hawkins has scored at least two goals in four straight games, but it took just his second game with 20 disposals all season for him to top 100 fantasy points. While his base value is much better as long as he continues to score multiple goals each week, his possession stats are more determined by what's lacking in midfield, and that's worth taking caution with in a good team.

Disappointing in loss Saturday
FGeelong Cats
October 24, 2020
Hawkins amassed 10 disposals (three kicks, seven handballs), three tackles, three marks, two behinds and one goal in Saturday's 81-50 loss to the Tigers.
Hawkins had a disappointing end to what has been a spectacular season, managing just one goal in Saturday's 31 point loss. The slippery conditions certainly made things difficult for Hawkins with clean looks hard to come by. Many will view this as perhaps the last shot at a premiership for the Cats with a number of their players on the wrong side of 30. With that being said, Hawkins should remain a key piece in the forward line for at least another season with the Cats still a viable title contender.

FGeelong Cats
October 17, 2020
Hawkins scored two goals and logged three behinds to go with five marks made and 12 disposals recorded (seven kicks, five handballs) from Saturday's 82-42 win over Brisbane.
Hawkins continues to pace the league in both goals and behinds as he drove his team to a place in the Grand Final. His performances in the month of October should make him one to watch as the pressure increases to the biggest match of the season.
Inaccurate in Thursday's loss
FGeelong Cats
October 1, 2020
Hawkins tallied 13 disposals (eight kicks, five handballs), seven marks, five behinds and four tackles in Thursday's 58-42 loss to the Power.
Hawkins did everything except kicks goals for the Cats, missing all six shots, some of which were certainly kickable. Despite a somewhat strong performance, Hawkins is on the ground to kick goals and so when his shots are off, it typically costs the team quite significantly. The loss continues a run of poor first-round performances for the Cats, having now been defeated in four straight opening week matchups.

Hawkins wrapped up his first Coleman Medal, booting two goals in the victory, taking his season total to 42. It has been a fantastic season for the 32-year-old, ending the season as the number one ranked player in not only goals scored, but also in goal assists, marks inside 50, and score involvements.

Hawkins booted another four majors in the victory, taking his season total to 39 goals. He has kicked 20 goals in his last five games and now sits atop the league's goal-scoring ranks. The Cats currently occupy second position on the leader and will be pushing hard to maintain a top-2 spot heading into the finals.
