RuckR
Collects 21 hitouts in loss
RGold Coast Suns
August 21, 2020
Witts tallied nine disposals (five kicks, four handballs) and two tackles in Friday's 60-27 loss to Carlton.
ANALYSIS
Witts topped the hitout count during Friday's loss but offered little else during a somewhat uninspiring performance. Currently sitting second across the league when it comes to total hitouts, Witts has been a solid presence in the middle for the Suns. The team has failed to win a game in over a month and is unlikely to feature in the finals despite a positive start to the campaign.

Struggles in loss
RGold Coast Suns
August 2, 2020
Witts logged 23 hitouts and seven disposals during Sunday's 61-35 loss to Greater Western Sydney Giants.
ANALYSIS
Witts and the rest his team struggled mightily despite facing a Giants team that didn't play much better themselves. Witts has reached as high as 46 disposals in a match this season, but also logged as low as 18. His consistency is something to keep an eye on during the coming contests.
Leader of the pack Thursday
RGold Coast Suns
July 24, 2020
Witts accumulated seven disposals (two kicks, five handballs), three tackles and two marks in Thursday's 51-46 loss to the Bulldogs.
ANALYSIS
Witts defied the wet conditions to rack up a career-high 46 hitouts, continuing to stamp his authority on the ruck position. Unfortunately, it came in a losing effort for the Suns as they struggled with their accuracy in front of goal. The hitout numbers are simply fantastic and if Witts can lift his production across the field, he could certainly emerge as one of the elite ruckmen this season.
Excellent in win
RGold Coast Suns
June 27, 2020
Witts made 38 hitouts and five marks in addition to logged 12 disposals (eight kicks, four handballs) during Saturday's 64-51 win over Freemantle.
ANALYSIS
When rucks step up, it can lead to some smashing results, and Witts put together his best match of the season through his high tally of hitouts. Witts has also steadily improved his overall performances over each Round, though now he's truly set a high bar to surpass.
Continues strong start to season
RGold Coast Suns
June 22, 2020
Witts totaled 17 disposals (12 kicks, five handballs), six marks, one tackle and one behind in Sunday's 82-29 victory over Adelaide.
ANALYSIS
Witts dominated the ruck Sunday, continuing what has been a fantastic start to the season for both himself and the ballclub. Had the game been even remotely close, Witts may have been called upon to do more of the heavy lifting. As it was, the Suns were never challenged which afforded a number of their stars the opportunity to switch off.
