Brodie Grundy
Busy in loss
RCollingwood Magpies
April 16, 2021
Grundy scored two goals and logged 20 disposals (11 kicks, nine handballs) while making 25 hitouts during Friday's 103- 76 loss to the West Coast Eagles.
Grundy fell below his lofty standards during last week's loss to GWS in Round 4 before improving in Round 5 during another loss. If the midfield keeps getting hurt around him, then Grundy may not be able to record as many hitouts each week as he had through the first four rounds. If this holds true, still look to him as a reliable option for midfield stats that will make him more valuable as a ruck.

Man-of-match in tight loss
RCollingwood Magpies
April 1, 2021
Grundy amassed 54 hitouts to go with 28 disposals (11 kicks, 17 handballs) in addition to making five marks and completing six tackles during Thursday's 73-72 loss to Brisbane.
Grundy was nearly impossible to stop without Oscar McInerney to defend against him and it resulted in one of the best performances by any player in the league early in the season. While he may not top 100 fantasy points every week when facing against better defensive clubs, he's put himself in good position to be the most valuable ruck on a regular basis.
Even better in Round 2
RCollingwood Magpies
March 25, 2021
Grundy made 51 hitouts to go with 16 disposals completed (seven kicks, nine handballs) and logged six tackles during Thursday's 106-85 win over Carlton.
Grundy remains one of the top players in fantasy through a rather impressive performance in this match. If Collingwood can keep up their scoring pace, look for Grundy to dominate routinely when the matchup is in his favor.
Logs 39 hitouts in loss
RCollingwood Magpies
March 19, 2021
Grundy logged 39 hitouts to go with three clearances made during Friday's 69-53 loss to Western Bulldogs.
Grundy led both teams in hitouts but couldn't make much else happen as he was beaten by Stefan Martin and Tim English in both contested marks and clearances. Despite the poor start to the season, Grundy should still be plenty reliable and have good scoring potential if he can get more help in possession.
Finishes season as top ruck
RCollingwood Magpies
September 21, 2020
Grundy collected 18 disposals (five kicks, 13 handballs) and completed 36 hitouts during Monday's 61-45 loss to Port Adelaide.
Grundy finishes the season as the league leader in hitouts to complete both a productive and reliable campaign for the Magpies. Even if his team makes a few mistakes, Grundy should have no problems continuing to play well in the elimination final against West Coast Eagles.
Another strong performance in loss
RCollingwood Magpies
August 3, 2020
Grundy rounded out with 11 disposals (seven kicks, four handballs), five marks, two tackles and one goal in Sunday's 61-49 loss to the Dockers.
Grundy dominated the ruck again Saturday, racking up a game-high 43 hitouts. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough as the Pies fell to what was an unexpected loss against a plucky Fremantle side. Grundy is certainly one of the elite ruckmen in the league and there is no reason to think he won't be able to keep up this kind of production for the remainder of the season.
