Naismith suffered a ruptured ACL Thursday against Western and will undergo surgery next week, ending his 2020 campaign, Marc McGowan of the AFL's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Naismith's injury leaves the Swans without the big man yet again after he missed the previous two seasons due to his first ruptured ACL. With a long road to recovery ahead, the Swans will need to look elsewhere for some help at the ruck.

Ruptured ACL feared
RSydney Swans
Knee
June 25, 2020
Naismith is believed to have suffered his ACL for a second time during Thursday's match versus Western, Mitch Cleary of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The Swans are expected to offer more information after he has scans done on the knee Friday, but the initial outlook for the ruckman initially appears bleak. It's a tough blow for both the Swans and Naismith, who played just his second game this season and missed all of the last two campaigns after following the first one.
Ready to go Thursday
RSydney Swans
June 24, 2020
Naismith (hamstring) will rejoin the lineup for Thursday's Round 4 match versus Western.
ANALYSIS
Naismith earned a test tag from the team's injury report and has apparently earned the fitness approval of the medical staff. He's listed as an interchange but should see some action if his hamstring holds up, having posted 11 disposals, four tackles and 28 hitouts in the season opener versus Adelaide.
Could play in Round 4

Hamstring
June 22, 2020
Naismith (hamstring) is scheduled to train with the rest of the Swans' healthy players Tuesday and could be available Thursday in Sydney's Round 4 match with Western.
ANALYSIS
The ruckman has steadily increased his workload in the past few days as he works through a hamstring injury, making him a potential option for Round 4 if he responds well to Tuesday's session. Naismith has been sidelined since the March 21 season opener, when he recorded 11 disposals and one mark.

June 18, 2020
Naismith (hamstring) will not play Saturday versus North Melbourne.
ANALYSIS
Naismith was believed to be a longshot to rejoin the action in Round 3 and will indeed take another week to get his hamstring right. His next opportunity to don a Swans jumper arrives June 25 versus the Bulldogs.
Unlikely for Round 3
RSydney Swans
Hamstring
June 14, 2020
Swans coach John Longmire said Sunday that Naismith (hamstring) "probably won't be right" for Sydney's Round 3 match with North Melbourne on June 19.
ANALYSIS
Naismith is apparently making decent progress in his recovery from a hamstring strain, but Longmire doesn't believe the 27-year-old will have enough time to prove his health in training this week to be a realistic option for Round 3. Consider him doubtful for the upcoming weekend unless the Swans provide more optimism about his health within the next few days.
