Reilly O'Brien
Strong finish to season
RAdelaide Crows
September 19, 2020
O'Brien collected 19 disposals (eight kicks, 11 handballs) to go with seven marks made and 29 hitouts completed during Saturday's 77-33 loss to Richmond.
O'Brien won another ruck battle to finish the season but there's still little way to make up the difference against a vastly better attack. With the excellent finish to the season despite ending up in last place, O'Brien showed why he's one of the most productive ruckmen in the premiership. If the rest of the team can play as well as they did in the last month, O'Brien will be a key part of a productive group next season.

Wins ruck battle
RAdelaide Crows
September 8, 2020
O'Brien logged 43 hitouts to go with 13 disposals logged (nine kicks, four handballs) and five tackles completed during Tuesday's 59-47 win over Greater Western Sydney.
O'Brien went up against former teammate Sam Jacobs and topped 40 disposals for the first time all season to help down a team just on the edge of making the finals. He's one of the best rucks around and could be worth keeping an eye on after the Crows have put together two straight wins.

O'Brien collected 19 disposals (11 kicks, eight handballs) to go with 26 hitouts completed and eight marks made during Tuesday's 83-48 win over Hawthorn.
O'Brien has seldom been consistent, but he still ranks as one of the top-scoring rucks in the competition. Through his better demonstration of physical play, the entire team was able to have better control of possession and generate many more opportunities. After getting their first win of the season, one can only hope that O'Brien will be able to continue producing at the same rate to finish the season.
Big effort in loss

O'Brien scored one behind to go with 17 disposals (5 kicks, 12 handballs) and made 38 hitouts during Saturday's 111-54 loss to Western Bulldogs.
O'Brien was one of the few players who might have helped the Crows to their first win, but instead didn't get enough help against a more well-rounded team. For O'Brien, this match could raise his production to a more consistent place after a steady decline during the last month.
Crows best in loss

O'Brien totaled 14 disposals (five kicks, nine handballs), four marks and three tackles in Monday's 88-53 loss to the Saints.
O'Brien continues to be a point of emphasis for the Crows as he puts together his best season as a professional. The Crows are yet to win a game which is, of course, disappointing for their fans. However, on the flip side, it has given many of their young players an opportunity to develop even quicker than they may have been hoping. O'Brien falls snuggly into this category and should continue to put up big numbers on a weekly basis.
Plays well despite loss

O'Brien had 19 disposals (10 kicks, nine handballs), nine marks and seven tackles in Saturday's 67-34 loss to West Coast.
After one of the more comical tweets during the week, O'Brien held his own against Nic Naitanui. The Adelaide ruckman was the center of attention after accidentally letting slip the Crows plan to deal with Naitanui, including labeling him "lazy and unfit". The Crows were once again outplayed across the park but O'Brien should be able to hold his head high after a strong performance.
