Crashes back to earth in loss
FCollingwood Magpies
October 10, 2020
Cox tallied just four disposals (two kicks, two handballs) and two marks in Saturday's 100-32 loss to Geelong.
ANALYSIS
After turning in his best performance of the season only one week prior, Cox was invisible for the Magpies as they were thumped to the tune of 68 points. It was a forgettable night for the club with the majority of their roster appearing to lose all confidence as early as the second quarter.

Stands tall in narrow victory
FCollingwood Magpies
October 3, 2020
Cox amassed six disposals (four kicks, two handballs), five marks, three goals and one tackle in Saturday's 76-75 victory over West Coast.
ANALYSIS
Cox booted three first-quarter goals in what was the best quarter of footy he has played in over two years. Cox has had a disappointing season and so this performance certainly came at the right time. After a dominant first term, Cox took a back seat and offered very little in terms of production down the stretch. The Pies will now face another tough encounter when they face the Cats in a must-win semi-final next week.
Boots two goals in narrow loss
FCollingwood Magpies
September 4, 2020
Cox amassed seven disposals (four kicks, three handballs), three marks, two tackles and two goals in Friday's 42-34 loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Cox was playing in just his seventh game of the season and continues to look better on a weekly basis. He kicked two goals for the second straight game but struggled to contribute elsewhere. Despite the ability to split the middle with some regularity, his overall production typically leaves a lot to be desired making him a tough sell in fantasy.
Disappointing in return
FCollingwood Magpies
August 25, 2020
Cox totaled just five disposals, one mark, one tackle and one goal in Sunday's 65-35 victory over North Melbourne.
ANALYSIS
Having not played since early July, Cox was back on the park for the Magpies but failed to reach any great heights. It has not been a good season for the journeyman and at this point, he is not worth seeking out in any fantasy format.
Late out Thursday
FCollingwood Magpies
July 16, 2020
Cox was a late removal from the Magpies' lineup Thursday versus Geelong, Callum Twomey of the AFL's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Cox has struggled out of the gates in 2020, resulting in coaching staff opting to bench him for the first time this season. He could return to the mix in Round 8 with a solid showing in training next week.
Impactful in return match
FCollingwood Magpies
June 26, 2020
Cox contributed eight disposals (five kicks, three handballs), four marks and one goal in Friday's 66-64 loss to GWS.
ANALYSIS
Cox was back in the lineup after missing the two previous games with a knee injury. He took a while to get going and floated between the forward line and midfield. Basically playing as a tall forward now, Cox ended with one major, coming in the final term as the Magpies made a late charge. He will certainly be better for the run and will look to build on this performance when the Magpies face the Bombers in what promises to be another tight matchup next Friday.
