Cox had a chance to return if he received medical approval, but that's not how things turned out. It remains to be seen when Cox will come back, though he hasn't played at the AFL level recently even when this injury was picked up.

ANALYSIS
Cox is expected to miss at least a week while he receives more suggestions on when to return. After Round 11 goes by, Cox will have missed four straight games after playing in only the first four rounds of the season at the AFL level.

Cox was taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after sustaining a blow to the throat during training, AFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
No official word on the seriousness of the injury, but Cox shared on the Twitter that he was "all good." The 30 year-old has spent the last month in the VFL after being dropped from Collingwood's senior squad shortly after a Round Four loss to GWS.

ANALYSIS
Cox was a late withdrawal from last week's contest because of the issue but appears to be healthy at this point. He's appeared in four matches on the AFL side so far this season and will aim for a good showing Saturday to make his way back there.
